The field of view through spectacles-mounted devices has been typically evaluated and illustrated using perimetry, though it is different from the perceived scene (i.e., retinal image) and often fails to represent important aspects of the field of view and visual parameters such as spatial distortions, dimming, or reduced contrast. We developed a photographic depiction method to record the monocular field of view effects of the devices at the right angular size and then displayed them to scale using virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD), thus demonstrating binocular visual confusion effects for unilateral fitting..

Jae-Hyun Jung博士的重點(diǎn)研究方向?yàn)楣鈱W(xué)或電子視覺(jué)輔助與人體視覺(jué)的結(jié)合。他建議把人體視覺(jué)觀念中的理論應(yīng)用于提高視力,尤其是用于視野缺損患者的視野擴(kuò)大棱鏡眼鏡以及為盲人提供的視網(wǎng)膜或皮質(zhì)植入等視覺(jué)假體。他曾開(kāi)發(fā)許多3D模擬展示、顯微鏡和成像系統(tǒng)。他在首爾國(guó)立大學(xué)獲得了電氣工程博士學(xué)位,在哈佛醫(yī)學(xué)院進(jìn)修博士后,發(fā)表過(guò)超過(guò)35篇經(jīng)同行評(píng)議的期刊論文并獲得過(guò)美國(guó)和韓國(guó)的5項(xiàng)專利。
