The field of view through spectacles-mounted devices has been typically evaluated and illustrated using perimetry, though it is different from the perceived scene (i.e., retinal image) and often fails to represent important aspects of the field of view and visual parameters such as spatial distortions, dimming, or reduced contrast. We developed a photographic depiction method to record the monocular field of view effects of the devices at the right angular size and then displayed them to scale using virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD), thus demonstrating binocular visual confusion effects for unilateral fitting..
專家簡介:
Jae-Hyun Jung博士的重點研究方向為光學或電子視覺輔助與人體視覺的結合。他建議把人體視覺觀念中的理論應用于提高視力,尤其是用于視野缺損患者的視野擴大棱鏡眼鏡以及為盲人提供的視網膜或皮質植入等視覺假體。他曾開發許多3D模擬展示、顯微鏡和成像系統。他在首爾國立大學獲得了電氣工程博士學位,在哈佛醫學院進修博士后,發表過超過35篇經同行評議的期刊論文并獲得過美國和韓國的5項專利。
